Car and fundraiser update Numero uno

Quickie update on the car from the folks: According to our mechanic (whom we've been taking most of our cars, including this one to for years), the undercarriage is rusted enough for our Chrysler to not pass inspection at the end of the month. There's also a pretty damn low/no chance of being able to repair it enough to pass. So... End of the month is effectively Mick's death date... None of us are particularly happy about that fact, since it means Mom has to cancel several important doctor's appointments out at Ortenzio Cancer Center in Enola because of a lack of transportation. Are either of us particularly happy about this? No. Could we have taken better care of the car, and been up Bruce's ass about proper maintenance more? Hells to the yes.  But what's done is done, y'know. We've pretty much had to learn the hard way on this.

As for the fundraiser, we received one donation so far, and that was back when I first it up. If you can help out financially, no matter the amount, I'm encouraging it. Can't afford to donate, but still want to help? Spank those social media share buttons. Same goes for anyone who can donate. Mom needs the help. And don't worry about Bruce damaging the vehicle you've all helped her get. We've had a talk with him about getting a new vehicle, and he admitted he isn't up to driving like he used to be, so he isn't going to be touching the car or be on the title and registration. It'll be all Mom's.
