F'ing Hurricane part 2

The rain's started, just  waiting on the wind to pick up more. This... Is gonna be veeeeery fun... Hopefully, we'll make it through the storm okay. (Loki) Let's hope. (Kat) Thankfully, work's closed today and tomorrow. Thank god they've got some common sense.

Current knitting

Still working on the never-ending shawl for Belle. As soon as I get that finished, washed and sent out, it's on to a pair of armwarmers for Rio and a baby blankie/baby item for Mike and Ashley at work, plus a work cowl for Mom. Yea, my knitting cue runneth over! Fun, hm?

F'ing Hurricane

Don't you just love Nature?

Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane Sandy's barreling down on Pennsylvania right now. So far, my employer hasn't closed down Monday and Tuesday, even though we've got kids who are close to Letort Spring Run, which could flood pretty bad with the rain we've got forecast for the area. But we'll see more as she kicks our arses. I'll let you know more later.

For now, check out the website for the local ABC website.

Yay weekend!!!

Thank god it's finally here! Went through caffiene withdrawl this past week, and it was not fun at all. Wound up with a nasty ass migraine and was tired as heck Monday, and had to take off then, went in Tuesday, and took off Wednesday because of a nasty headache at my left temple (Always get my caffiene withdrawl headaches there... Why, I dunno.) and a slightly upset stomach whenever I ate. Went in Thursday and Friday, though. Thankfully, got some coffee that my stomach can stand along with creamer and sugar Friday night after work, so I've got my caffiene supply for now. Don't need a repeat of this past week again.

Current knitting

Working on a commissioned piece of knitting for a friend of mine from the forums. Don't have current pictures because it's a gift for her mom, but it's a nice navy blue version of Ashleys shawl. The three I've knit so far have all been knit out of Lion Brand Wool Ease. This is definitely my go-to yarn for this, and it's thankfully machine washable, too.

Well, that's it for now.
